The Komen Vermont-New Hampshire Race for the Cure committee says that there are still plenty of committee positions, and volunteer opportunities available for anyone willing to help out.

Volunteers Needed
The VT/NH Race for the Cure would not be possible without the help of the volunteers who make it happen. There are many opportunities for you to get involved with this year’s Race. We are looking for people to help with the following tasks:

Pre -Race Weekend
In the weeks leading up to the Race, volunteers are needed to perform a variety of tasks such as raffle ticket sales, distributing race posters/information, stuffing Team packets etc.

Race Weekend: July 25-27
Set-up:
Main tasks include setting up the Registration Tent, Main Tent and Survivor Tent (setting up tables & chairs, skirting tables, folding and organizing T-shirts, moving and unpacking boxes etc.) May involve some "manual labor."
Volunteer Check-in & Information: Check-in volunteers and direct them to their assignments.
Registration: Process Race registrations and distribute Race materials to participants (Individuals, Teams and Survivors)
Pledges: Collect and process pledges
Parking: Adults needed to lay out the parking lot (hammering stakes & taping) on Saturday. Directing people in/out of the field and breaking down the lot on Sunday.
Raffle: Selling raffle tickets
Finish Line: Assist participants at finish line and collect chips
Fun Run: Assist with this Children’s event on Sunday
Course Monitor: Adults stationed along race course to monitor and assist as needed
Survivor Tent Activities: Welcome survivor’s and assist with various activities
Main Tent Activities: A variety of opportunities including setting up & selling race merchandise, setting up and processing silent auction sales, preparing & serving bagels to participants, distributing sponsor’s materials, raffle ticket sales
Break-down & Clean-up: Restore site to pre-race condition. Involves "manual labor."

Raffle Sales 7 a.m.-noon
Course Monitor 8 a.m.-noon
Parking & Traffic Control 6-10 a.m. 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Water Stations 7 a.m.-1 p.m.
Finish Line (Water, Chip Collector) 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Participant's Food 7-11 a.m.
Food Concession 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Awards 9 a.m.-1 p.m
Race Break Down Noon-3 p.m.
Floater 7-10 a.m. 10 a.m-1 p.m.

Please check in with the Volunteer Cheir in the Information Tent when you arrive at the Race site. We will always try to assign you the job you have signed up for but we may ask you to do something else if that job is already filled or some other need has arisen. Please let us know at info@vtnhcure.org if you need to change or cancel your commitment.
